About Dr. Fish
Dr. David Lee Fish is a recognized figure in higher education with an intimate knowledge of top music schools. That knowledge forms the cornerstone of his work as the founder and CEO of College Music Major. As an independent educational consultant (IEC), he has helped many students gain acceptance into the country’s top music schools.
After earning his Ph.D. in music from the University of Michigan. Doctor Fish founded the popular music degree at Catawba College in North Carolina, a program he directed for over two decades. During that time, he co-founded the Association for Popular Music Education, making him a central leader in his discipline.
Doctor Fish remains active as a performing songwriter, with Renaissance Records releasing his album of original works to strong reviews in 2023. As an IEC, Dr. Fish served as the Senior Consultant and COO for Inside Music Schools and is a member of the Independent Educational Consultants Association."
